Meet Our Team
Nate O’Grady
Founder and President
When Nate was young, he learned many valuable things while working aside his Dad every day in the family landscape business. That’s when he decided he would devote the rest of his career to being the best landscaper he could be.
Kasey Lofgren
Lead Designer and Installer
Kasey returned to Northern Michigan from Chicago in 2018 and quickly put his eye for design to work alongside his brother, Nate. As the creative force behind the company’s designs, Kasey is responsible for all landscape design concepts and CAD drawings, transforming ideas into detailed, build-ready plans. He also leads hardscape projects in the field, where his natural problem-solving and “puzzle-building” skills shine. Now transitioning into estimating for hardscape projects, Kasey brings his full-circle expertise in concept, design, installation, and budgeting. Outside of work, Kasey enjoys spending time on the golf course, where he’s always up for a good round.
Tyler Baldwin
Landscaping Specialist
Tyler joined our team in 2024, bringing with him nine years of experience in the tree service industry. He quickly assumed the leadership of our tree service division and played a key role in operations following the unprecedented ice storm northern Michigan received in March of 2024. Tyler is now transitioning into management of our landscape maintenance division, and we look forward to the positive impact and improvements he will bring to this area as well.Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending his time outdoors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Quality turf is freeze-thaw stable and handles snow and ice without damage. Once the snow melts off in spring, the surface is ready to use—no mud, no dead patches, no reseeding.
Yes, with the right technique. Plastic-edged shovels and plowing with skids raised are fine. We go over care specifics with you before the project wraps.
A well-installed, quality turf product typically lasts 15 to 20 years. Lifespan depends more on the base work and the traffic it sees than on the turf itself.
Yes, if the base is built for it. Proper turf installation includes a permeable base and drainage plan so water moves through the system instead of pooling on top.
Yes. Pet-specific turf systems use drainage layers and antimicrobial infill that flush urine through and keep odors down. Solid waste picks up like it would on natural grass.
Not with the products we use. Modern turf comes in a range of pile heights, colors, and textures. We choose a blend that suits your property so it reads as a real lawn.
Synthetic turf runs warmer than natural grass on hot sunny days. For pool surrounds, play areas, or pet runs that get full afternoon sun, we recommend cooling infills and shaded layouts.
Yes. We build custom backyard putting greens with proper contours, cup placement, and fringe so the surface plays well and lasts.
Light and occasional. Brush up the pile once or twice a year, rinse off dust or pollen as needed, and pick up debris. No mowing, watering, fertilizing, or reseeding.
Yes. We come out, look at the site, talk through what you want, and send a detailed proposal at no charge.
